If I could just give 0 stars... I am writing this review with immense grief and anger in the hope that no other family endures the pain we have. Our beloved pet did not die from a sudden illness, but from a long, torturous battle with diabetes that was directly caused by medication prescribed by this clinic. Our pet was initially treated with corticosteroids. At no point were we ever warned that diabetes is a known and serious potential side effect of these drugs. Not a verbal warning, not a pamphlet, nothing. We trusted them completely. When the symptoms of diabetes began—excessive thirst, weight loss—they were devastating. What followed was months of insulin injections, constant blood monitoring, frantic trips for glucose curves, and watching our once-vibrant companion suffer through a debilitating disease. We fought that battle every single day, but the damage was done. We recently had to say goodbye, a loss that has shattered our family. This clinic’s negligence in failing to obtain informed consent is unforgivable. We had a right to know the risks. Had we known, we could have asked about alternatives, or at the very least, been vigilant for the early signs. They took that choice away from us. They are not healers. A true healer respects the trust placed in them and communicates the dangers of the treatments they propose. This clinic administered powerful drugs with life-altering side effects and left us in the dark until it was too late. Do not trust them with your "family member". Their carelessness masked as treatment turned our home into a hospice and caused our pet years of suffering. They are, in the most tragic sense, soulless butchers in lab coats. Our deepest regret is that we ever walked through their doors. Look for a vet who practices true informed consent. Ask explicitly about the side effects of any medication they prescribe and do your own research beforehand! Do not let what happened to us happen to you!

Recent visit to Ark vets, St Mary's road, with my sick cat. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and efficient. I was seen within 5 minutes and I was very happy with the way the vet handled the issue. I have always found Ark vets to be very good to deal with. I have been attending there for 2 decades, having owned a dog who lived to be 18 and 2 cats who are now around 18 also.
